In this class, students engaged in both individual and group work designed to give them grammatical and conversational abilities at an intermediate to advance level. Outside of class, students completed independent work and exercises on a regular basis from the Grammaire Progressive du Français (GP), in order to strengthen skills acquired in class. Students were placed in “real life” situations in which they had to converse with French people and were asked to write an evaluation of the experience. In addition, students were required to visit museum exhibitions, films and gallery openings and write a review of the work.
