Spring 2013

Trevor Atwell + Daniela Atwell, instructors

This course provided students with an understanding of the increasingly global aspects of the real estate profession, giving insight into the many diverse opportunities that real estate development and investment around the world may present. It introduced students to the macro growth trends that are central to a global commercial real estate world, as well as the drivers, challenges and assessing risks associated with the emerging opportunities in this context. The course broadly addressed topics from comparative market analysis, portfolio diversification and distribution of specific sector expertise in new markets. We also explored how to identify unique opportunities in frontier markets experiencing a dislocating positive inflection in economic or geopolitical conditions.
