New York Design Week 2013: Instant Site Reactant Installation (SRI)

Visual Studies

Spring 2013

Caterina Tiazzoldi, instructor

The class developed in collaboration with the NSU research lab. The class engaged architecture’s capacity to respond to human-environmental conditions and develop a design strategy for an installation to be temporarily inserted and exhibited as part of the New York Design Week (May 2013). The course began with student’s selecting a given fabrication material to explore how parametric design can efficiently adapt to programmatic and perceptive conditions and ultimately be constructed for the site.
