This mini-course introduced students to the basics of oral history and how it is used to complement and inform work in historic preservation. Topics covered included oral history/interviewing methodology, use of recording equipment, interview design and oral history as a tool for understanding the built environment. Students were introduced to a variety of existing oral history projects and were expected to research and conduct short oral history interviews relating to historic preservation and the built environment.
