Simulation as the Origin of Tangible Form

Visual Studies

Fall 2012 + Spring 2013

José Sánchez, instructor

This workshop focused on generating visual constructs dealing with the notion of simulation and representation. We undertook simulation as the origin of a reality, not as a representation of a formal construct, which can deal with the generation of behavioral models and abstract events without a tactile origin, hence avoiding representing an environment or event. The simulation spawned sequential representation of unknown events that progressively yielded the generation of a tangible fabric.
