Thesis 1: Research

Real Estate Development

Fall 2012

Jesse Keenan, instructor

This course examined the leading qualitative and quantitative research methods in the built environment professions. Concentration was placed on the methods of architecture, urban economics, construction management and applied real estate finance. With an eye for the development of a thesis, students worked independently to develop a framework for undertaking the completion and defense of a thesis in the Spring semester. Whether empirical, applied or observational, students gained the opportunity to develop critical analytical skill sets which allowed them to construct an operational research design and to then test the hypothesis and methods underlying such efforts.
