US Pavilion at The Venice Bienale

Advanced Architecture Studio 5

Fall 2012

Jorge Otero-Pailos + Craig Konyk, critics, with Fernanda Sotelo

The future of US Pavilion is uncertain, as the only privately owned national pavilion at the Venice Biennale. Students imagined how to preserve its rich history while adapting it to contemporary needs. Students examined ways to make the building as worthy of attention as the exhibits it contains. As part of the studio, students mounted a pop up exhibition at the US Pavilion in the context of the 2012 Venice Architecture Biennale.
